Bua is located in a public archipelago park area right next to it Varnes lighthouse.
This is a newly restored boathouse in a sheltered bay with a great view north into the Fedafjorden. It is a nice walk from Vigan and out towards Varnes.
Bua is used as a day trip cabin, overnight guests must therefore be aware that day trip guests will be able to use the cabin until 1700.
The old sea bow was restored in 2019, and contains a wood-burning stove, two-burner cooker, long table and a small loft with room to stretch out, where there is room for overnight stays. Overnight guests must bring sleeping mats as there are no mattresses or sleeping mats in the loft.
On the long walls below, 4 hooks are hung on each side, between which you can hang hammocks. There is a small selection of pots and kitchen utensils.
There is a fire pan with a bench on the outside of the bow with benches around.
The Archipelago Service looks after the cabin, cabin toilet, and makes sure to stock up on firewood.
Guests pay for firewood using tips.
