MOUNTAIN SQUARE
The cabin is built into a mountain gorge so that parts of the walls inside the cabin are the rock walls themselves. Here there is a sleeping alcove with two beds, a loft with two beds and two beds on either side of the kitchen. A total of six single beds. There are pillows for each bed but no duvets, so sleeping bags, sheets and pillowcases must be brought. The kitchen contains a wood-burning stove with oven and hotplate, a gas hob with two burners, as well as a sink, pots and pans, plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. Soap and detergents are available.

The living room consists of a large dining table with a liftable middle part which is also the entrance door (see pictures), benches for the table and two sofa benches on either side of the table.

Entrance from the bottom with stairs up. The door itself is also the center of the dining table. Outside Fjellskår there is a lawn with a long table, benches and a fireplace next to the rock wall, as well as a large bench above the cabin.

HEATING & FOOD PREPARATION
There is a wood stove in the cabin, as well as a gas burner for cooking.

TOILET
The cabin does not have a toilet, but there is a common outdoor toilet between the rental cabins. In addition, there is a public toilet about 250 meters from the cabin.

WATER
There is no drinking water in the cabin, but a borehole with clean water from a hand pump in the common area.

SEASON
The cabin can basically be rented all year round, but the way in from the car park remains not plowed.

LOCATION & ACCESS
Laundal is located in the far north-west of Farsund by Oppoftevannet, near the Oppoftekrysset on the E39.

Access from the road with parking at Lande opp bakken from Opofte. There is a dirt road into the area, which is a private toll road, and about 2.2 km to walk or cycle. A transport trolley is available for the cabin. The trolley is locked, and the same code as for the cabin is used to borrow it. NB! In winter, the lock can be difficult to open due to frost! The way in is private and can only be used on foot or by bicycle.

It is also possible to walk or paddle from Svindal. On foot, you cross Skarpheia - a longer but wonderful hike. If you want to paddle, you can rent a canoe at Svindalstjødna. Daily price NOK 50 per canoe (check availability on the booking page). From here, you can paddle into the almost 5 km long Opfoftavannet to Laundalstrand. Then you go up the approximately 800 meter steep path towards Laundal. Svindal is located at the exit to Tosås on the road from Åpta towards Drange. Parking - daily fee NOK 50 per car (Vipps payment to landowner).
