Havblikk Sauna and sea bath
We welcome you to the trial opening of our small, simple sauna, idyllically located on the beach in Engvika.
If you want 2 hours in a bubble with presence, joy, warmth and coziness, this is perfect for you.
Here you can gather the people you love for a deliciously warm social moment, zone out from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, and lower your shoulders.
You can also enjoy a magical and refreshing sea bath with a sea view to the north.
The sauna is booked in its entirety in advance, and costs NOK 250 per booking, and is then reserved for your own group of up to 5-6 people - or just yourself. Payment is made to Gibbs.
The sauna is warm when you arrive at your time. A booking lasts two hours.

Rules for using the sauna
- It's a good idea to change into swimwear before you leave home, as we don't have a changing room. Bring two towels, one to sit on and one to dry yourself with after bathing.
- Close the door quickly after you to avoid heat loss in the sauna.
- Please note that there may be slippery floors in the outdoor area. Using slippers can be a good idea (nice if it's wet and cold on the floor too)
- Bring water, two bottles are recommended. There is no drinking water available on site. Drink plenty of water before, after and during your stay.
- USE ONLY FRESH WATER ON THE SAUNA FURNACE, The oven is destroyed by salt water. Water for use on the stove can be found inside the sauna.
- Ask the other guests before using essential oils. Some are allergic.
- If you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy - leave the sauna immediately!
- Smoking, snuff and food are not permitted in the sauna.
- You can enjoy alcohol, but alcohol restriction is important, and is primarily about safety.
When you sweat as much as you do in a sauna, the alcohol affects you faster. The combination of drunken people and the sea is a safety risk that we take seriously.
Alcohol is not allowed, for the above reasons. It is also important to avoid red wine, Aperol and other strongly colored beverages as this stains the wood.
- Be sure to keep to the time you have booked. Someone may come after you.
- Bathing and sauna are at your own risk. Do not swim alone or unseen
- Clean and mop up water from the sauna after the end of the session. Take all trash and personal belongings with you.

- Unfortunately, we don't have a shower, but it's nice to end a sauna visit with a refreshing sea bath.
