Havblikk Sauna and Sea Bath

Welcome to our small, simple sauna, idyllically located on the beach in Engvika.

If you want a break from everyday life filled with presence, joy, warmth and peace, this is the place for you. Here you can gather your loved ones for a lovely, warm and social time, relax from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and relax your shoulders.

Enjoy a refreshing sea bath with a sea view to the north - an experience for both body and soul.

Practical information

• Booking: The sauna is booked and paid for in full in advance and costs NOK 150 per booking. This gives you and your group (up to 5–6 people) two hours in the sauna.

• Heating: We do not have automatic heating control, so you must turn on the oven yourself 1 hour before your reservation time. Turn off the oven when you leave.

Rules for using the sauna

• Please change into your swimwear at home, as we do not have a changing room. Bring two towels – one to sit on and one to dry yourself with after the bath.

• Close the door quickly to avoid heat loss.

• Be careful in the outdoor area – it can be slippery. Slippers are recommended.

• Bring at least two bottles of water, as there is no drinking water on site. Drink plenty before, during and after your visit.

• Fresh water only should be used on the sauna heater. Salt water damages the heater. Water for the heater is found inside the sauna.

• Ask other guests before using essential oils – some may be allergic.

• If you feel uncomfortable, dizzy or sleepy, leave the sauna immediately.

• Smoking, snuff and food are not allowed in the sauna.

• Alcohol can be enjoyed in moderation, but be aware that heat intensifies the effects of alcohol.

• Alcohol is not allowed.

• Avoid red wine, Aperol and other brightly colored drinks that can stain the wood.

• Respect the time you have booked. Guests may arrive after you.

• Swimming and sauna use is at your own risk. Do not swim alone or unseen.

• Clean up after yourself: Mop up water, take away trash and all personal belongings.

NB!

• No shower – but a sea bath is a perfect end to the experience!

• No toilets.

• Parking is along the grass or on the gravel parking lot.
