It is possible to rent equipment in the climbing hall. This is paid on tipping to Flekkefjord Sparebank Arena
Everyone who climbs must have signed a declaration of responsibility and the belayer must have a climbing card or top rope card. You can find the disclaimer on Flekkefjord Sparebank Arena's website.
When you are in the climbing hall you must follow DNT Fjellsport's HSE rules.
Ang: Autobelay. Can only be used if you have received approved training in autobelay.
Autobelay is a safety system that is technically very safe, but has important points to note when it comes to operation/maintenance and safety.
Information/marking:
All systems must be informed that use requires specific training. It must be indicated where one can get the training. Furthermore, it must be informed that you must remember to clip in and that there are specific routes you must climb.
When a climber is in the wall on the autobelay, the fall zone on the floor must be marked so that others do not stay underneath. One way to do this is for the yellow barricade to be laid down on the ground when in use, and has a danger zone marking on the side that appears.
Training:
When using an autobelay, the user must at least have training in how to mount a harness correctly, how to mount the carabiner in the harness, how to perform a function test of the autobelay and how to/shouldn't climb on an autobelay. The training should be given by an instructor - showing a video is not attractive.
NKF recommends that everyone who is going to use autobelay has a Top Rope Card or Bratt Card.
Other points:
In the case of organized activities that use autobelay, where the participants do not have adequate training or are minors, the person responsible/instructor must at least hold the climbing instructor certification. The instructor must have control over all connections.
