Mandal Hall is a large public facility that is visited by 350,000 guests during the year. The name Mandalshallen is used both for the facility as a whole, but also for the sports hall that was built in 1974. The swimming hall is part of the facility, and was built in 1987-1988. In 2008, it gained an associated wellness department. The multi-purpose hall (new Mandalshallen), with climbing wall, running and shooting range, was completed in the autumn of 2007. Both the sports halls and the swimming hall are actively used by the municipality's schools during the day. In the afternoon/evening and at weekends, the facilities are used for training, tournaments and public swimming. It is approx. 14 employees in the hall, consisting of technical operating personnel who also have the role of host, as well as swimming hall employees on a rotating basis.
