THE WOODEN CABIN
The cabin is built as a partial treetop cabin with anchorage in the ground at the back and attached to two trees at the front facing the camp area at Laundal. In the wooden cabin there is one bedroom with a single bed and a loft with four beds. There are pillows for each bed. There are no duvets in the cabin, so you must bring your sleeping bag, sheets and pillowcases.

Kitchenette with gas stove, pots and pans, plates, glasses, cups and cutlery. Wood stove and sofa corner. A solar cell system has been installed that provides electricity for lighting. A small bathroom with wash basin and urinal. Veranda around the entire cabin.

HEATING
Wood stove for heating.

TOILET
The cabin has an (emergency) toilet - this must be emptied/cleaned after use. There is a common outdoor area between the rental cabins. In addition, there is a public toilet about 250 meters from the cabin.

WATER
There is no drinking water in the cabin, but a borehole with clean water from a hand pump in the common area.

LOCATION & ACCESS
Laundal is located in the far north-west of Farsund by Oppoftevannet, near the Oppoftekrysset on the E39.

Access from the road with parking at Lande opp bakken from Opofte. There is a dirt road into the area, which is a private toll road, and about 2.2 km to walk or cycle. A transport trolley is available for the cabin. The trolley is locked, and the same code as for the cabin is used to borrow it. NB! In winter, the lock can be difficult to open due to frost! The way in is private and can only be used on foot or by bicycle.

It is also possible to walk or paddle from Svindal. On foot, you cross Skarpheia - a longer but wonderful hike. If you want to paddle, you can rent a canoe at Svindalstjødna. Daily price NOK 50 per canoe. From here, you can paddle into the almost 5 km long Oppftevannet to Laundalstrand. Then you go up the approximately 800 meter steep path towards Laundal. Svindal is located at the exit to Tosås on the road from Åpta towards Drange. Parking - daily fee NOK 50 per car (Vipps payment to landowner).
