Mandalshallen is a large public facility that is visited by 350,000 guests during the year. The name Mandalshallen is used both for the facility as a whole, but also for the sports hall that was built in 1974. The multi-purpose hall (new Mandalshallen), with climbing wall, running and shooting range, was completed in autumn 2007. The swimming hall is also part of the facility, and was built in 1987-1988. In 2008, it gained an associated wellness department.
